So far so good for both of these teams but even better if you’re a Warriors fan. Golden State marched into Toronto and got their butts kicked! Just as we thought they would. The momentum, the fanfare, the hype, all that went along with the first finals game in Raptors history, that all unfolded in game one. This was no surprise. The Raptors played very well in game one and ended the night with a 9-point victory.
All of this was expected, to take it a step further; a Warriors win would have been a shock. We called the first game on the money line win, we called the second game on the 5-point teaser at Warriors +3.5 (they won outright), and over the total of 210 (the game went to 214, it covered the teaser but not the original total of 215), if you went with us, you were singing on a two-way win. What happens tonight, how do the Raptors respond in Oakland, after a big loss at home? What are the best betting options?
NBA Championship Preview and Predictions – Warriors vs. Raptors
The Toronto Raptors are a great basketball team from top to bottom and we predicted this series to go the full 7-games. We stick by that. Look, it will be tough for the Raptors to pick up a game-one-win in Oakland. We don’t expect that, but with this lineup, and with maybe the second-best coaching staff in the NBA, this team will make it’s adjustments for game 4. Tonight, the Warriors pick up the money line win at what most of the offshore sportsbooks are holding at near -190. We realize that’s a lot of cheese to lay! What are the alternatives?
We especially like two great bets as an alternative to the Golden State money line—
The Warriors are back at The Oracle, where they put up close to 117 points per game. We give all the credit in the world to Toronto’s ability to play defense, but make no mistake, tonight will be the Warriors night and they will be looking for an up-tempo, fast-paced game, in which they are so well adept to, especially at home. The home crowd will be just as nutty, just as loud and the place will be rocking. This game gets off to a fast start and we think the Warriors kick the first half off with a lot of points and a nice lead at the intermission.
-2 is an extremely fair line and one that suggests Vegas wasn’t really watching game two! This one is at home and coming on the heels of a very big win in Toronto. The Warriors protect the home court in the first half and cover the spread at -2.
