This years playoffs are somewhat different, well actually, they are a lot different than before. This year, the Warriors are facing a team from the east that can beat them. The Raptors pose a legitimate threat and can win this series for a couple of reasons. The starting lineup is tough and they matchup well against the Warriors with Siakam, Leonard, Gasol, Lowry, and Green. It’s a difficult task to want to go up against Gasol in a series. Gasol will stretch the Warriors to their limit for one reason; they play center by committee. They have a good committee, they are certainly not chump change with Bogut/Looney/Jones. Bogut seems to pose the biggest threat but again, by committee against a very good Gasol. The online bookmakers have set the Warriors as the once again favorites, however, the numbers are close. We may never see the gift we have all been given with this years betting lines.

The Warriors are beatable, and we think they indeed get beat in game one but are they beatable back to back? That’s a tough call! We say no, the Warriors get the split, they steal one in Toronto and go home with the series tied.
We also think that Toronto can win on the road just as they did in Milwaukee. There is really little reason to believe that Toronto can’t pick one up on the road in Golden States back yard. They must do so in order to make this a seven-game series, and we think they need seven games in order to win.
These two will go back and forth all series long. Steph Curry will be the focus for the Raptors and Kawhi will be the focus for the Warriors. Step is the proven player, and yes, the better player. It’s difficult to say anyone is as good as Curry has been over the last few games. He has been magnificent. It is what it is and there is no getting around the facts. What Toronto must do is focus on Gasol and his matchups and realize Curry is Curry!
At the end of the day, it all boils down to one thing will the Warriors be cut short of their threepeat bid? We say no and say they lose one at home but win two in Toronto.
